In einem aktuellen Working Paper haben Nadine Segadlo, Ulrike Krause, Franzisca Zanker und Hannah Edler die Auswirkungen der Pandemie auf Geflüchtete und ihren Schutz in sechs Staaten im westlichen, östlichen und südlichen Afrika anhand einer durchgeführten qualitativen Befragung untersucht. Konkret standen die Entwicklungen in Kenia, Uganda, Ghana, Nigeria, Südafrika und Simbabwe im Mittelpunkt.
Das Paper ist open access verfügbar. Es führt zwei Forschungsprojekte zusammen: „Forced Migration, Women-and Peace? Peacebuilding practices of women in refugee camps“ geleitet von Ulrike Krause und umgesetzt von Nadine Segadlo sowie „Forced Displacement in Africa: The politics and stakeholders of migration governance“ geleitet von Franzisca Zanker. Beide Projekte werden unabhängig voneinander von der Deutschen Stiftung Friedensforschung gefördert.
